Monday of the second week… I hit the studio a week ahead of schedule after only a week!
We had planned on spending the first week tracking the drums and bass and the second recording the guitars and piano but we had managed to get most of that done last week so I decided to put down lead vocals on Water’s Edge. Partly because it was sounding so good that I was keen to hear it with all the harmonies. Unfortunately Peter and Ben wouldn’t be with me until Thursday so would have to wait for their BVs.
Along with the vocals I also finished the acoustic guitar parts on Water’s Edge and recorded the vocals for On My Mind.
As it was just Martin and me in the studio and only the start of the week I decided not to push myself too much. I headed home around 8pm for an early night. After all I only had two vocals down and still a lot of work to get through.
