The pressure was on to get ‘Outside looking In’ (guitar, vocal track) recorded in the morning session which we did on a live take, despite my hatred of doing vocals in the morning. We then quickly moved onto bv’s for Ben as he had to catch a bus at 14:45. When we got Ben done, Garry ran him to the bus and we moved onto Peters bv’s after a well earned sambo. It took a while to get Peters bv’s right as the close harmony had to be worked out perfectly before it was put down on track. I suppose it didn’t help the fact that Peter got a fit of the giggles and pissed his ass laughing for a good 15 mins!!
When Peter eventually finished both Garry and peter headed off, while Martin and I started on my vocal for ‘Tired of Trying’. It was probably the most enjoyable track to sing so far, mostly due to the fact that I knew it was Friday night and the end of a hell of a long week for Martin and me.
This week we’re organizing art work and string arrangements and start thinking about artwork.
